<B>1877 3CN PR66 Cameo PCGS.</B></I> The 1877 three cent nickel has a reported mintage of 510 or more pieces, all proofs, and as such is the key date of the series. As indicated by the large number of specimens that PCGS and NGC have certified, most pieces may have been saved, though a relatively small number of these, again based on the population/census figures, carry the Cameo designation. Whispers of gold-tan color race across impeccably preserved surfaces on both sides of this Premium Gem Cameo. Sharply delineated throughout, as befits a proof strike. All in all, exceptional technical quality and aesthetic appeal.
