1877 1C PR66 Red and Brown NGC. The reverse die used to strike this example is the "Bulged T" reverse, which was first used in 1872 and was used to strike many of the proof issues between that date and 1877. The right pennant of the T in CENT is in much higher relief than the other parts of the letter. Probably 50% of the original mint luster still remains on each side of this coin, but there are considerable areas of lilac and sea-green iridescence present as well that lend a darkening influence. Nicely mirrored in the fields and nearly pristine. Population: 10 in 66, 0 finer (11/02). Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. Sometimes eBay Premier live bid software cannot keep up with that pace, so we strongly recommend that you place a realistic proxy bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Premier carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
