<B>1877 1C PR65 Red and Brown PCGS.</B></I> According to the <I>Guide Book,</B></I> 900 proof cents were struck in 1877. Approximately 120 Gem examples with the Red and Brown designation have been seen by PCGS and NGC combined, and about 20 specimens finer. The coin in this lot displays reflective surfaces that show a blend of delicate copper, crimson, and lime-green patina, and well impressed design elements. A couple of faint linear marks in the lower left obverse field are mentioned for accuracy.
