<B>1876 T$1 PR65 PCGS.</B></I> Type Two Obverse and Reverse. Our auction records suggest that less than one in three proof 1876 Trade dollars has a Type Two obverse, identified by the lower scroll end, which points down rather than to the left. Proofs were sold at the Mint booth at the Philadelphia Centennial Exposition, contributing to an above average proof mintage of 1,150 pieces. The present mark-free specimen has dusky aquamarine and rose-gray toning.
