<B>Exceptional 1876 St. Louis Democratic National Convention Ticket.</B></I> Heavy blue card stock printed in black ink on both sides, 4.25" x 2.5". The face, signed in print by Convention Secretary Frederick O. Prince, admits the bearer on June 29. The bold graphics on the verso, reminiscent of an early sampler, read "ST. LOUIS N.D.C. 1876". Minute chips on the lower left corner mentioned for accuracy, else choice condition and extremely rare thus. The Democratic Party nominated Samuel Tilden as its presidential candidate at the St. Louis convention. Tilden went forth to win the popular vote in November, however, ultimately lost the White House to Rutherford B.
