The recorded mintage is more than 5.2 million pieces, but this Premium Gem coin is among the four finest graded for the entire issue at NGC and PCGS combined. NGC has certified three pieces as MS66, while PCGS has graded but a single MS66. This delightful piece offers radiant cartwheel luster over lightly patinated dove-gray surfaces, with considerable field-device contrast and glints of amber-gold and fuchsia in the protected areas. The strike is needle-sharp, and thorough perusal with a loupe fails to locate any significant distractions.
