<B>1876 S$1 Sailor Head Dollar, Judd-1465, Pollock-1616, R.7, PR65 Red and Brown NGC.</B></I> The obverse depicts William Barber's Sailor Head, here with beads on the coronet and the motto IN GOD WE TRUST centered across the upper border. The reverse displays a wreath that divides the statutory legends. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. According to uspatterns.com, the two silver examples (Judd-1464) were struck on Trade dollar planchets, and approximately six examples of Judd-1465 are known. The present Gem is beautifully toned in electric-blue and ruby-red across the obverse field, with a powder-blue and olive portrait. The reverse is orange-gold and aquamarine. This intricately struck piece is well preserved, but can be identified by a small obverse spot at 5 o'clock.<BR><I>Ex: Sidney W. Smith, 8/71; Harry W.
