<B>1876-CC $20 AU53 PCGS.</B></I> A small patch of hairlines in the left obverse field is perhaps the grade-limiting factor of this 1876-CC double eagle, which boasts a pleasing natural patina, attesting to its originality. When viewed at an angle under a light source, delicate prooflike surfaces emerge and the visual effect is pleasing. Because most of this issue was exported overseas in bags, the typical survivor will display abraded surfaces.
