1876-CC $10 XF45 PCGS. Winter 1-A, the only known dies. This coin is equal in grade to the 1876-CC Ten in the Ashland City Collection that we are also auctioning at the 2003 FUN Convention. The striking quality of both coins is similar with some softness of detail on the obverse over Liberty's hair curls and over the lower reverse eagle. The wear is light and evenly distributed with all areas displaying pale copper-gold coloration. A moderately abraded example that is one of perhaps 70-80 1876-CC Eagles extant in all grades (per Winter and Halperin, 2001). Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. Sometimes eBay Premier live bid software cannot keep up with that pace, so we strongly recommend that you place a realistic proxy bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Premier carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
