<B>1876-CC $10 AU55 NGC.</B></I> Rusty Goe suggests in his Carson City Mint reference that despite the trivial mintage of only 4,696 pieces coined of this issue, the Centennial year meant that more specimens than normal were subject to be saved, amounting to an estimated survival rate of 3%. In April 2003 there were 134 certified examples in all grades at NGC and PCGS combined, and as of April 2007 there are 171 certified pieces--possibly more resubmissions than new pieces. A handful of AU58 pieces rest atop the Condition Census, as there are no Mint State pieces known.
