<B>1876 50C Liberty Round 50 Cents, High R.6, BG-1039A, MS63 PCGS.</B></I> Die State II. Jay Roe published this variety in 1987, and proposed listing it as BG-1040A. The second edition of Breen-Gillio, however, identifies the variety as BG-1039A. Under either nomenclature, it is a very rare variety. This attractive example has an olive and sun-gold obverse, while the reverse exhibits orange patina. The denominator is softly struck, as usual for the variety.
