The letter to Thomas Jameson, on parliamentary business mentions "Sir M Beach and Mr Plunket". Also included is a letter concerning Clerks of the Crown and a printed statement pertaining to a proposed bill in which Kavanagh played a part. (3 items including Born Without Limbs - A Biography of Achievement by Kenneth Kavanagh, 1989). Born without arms and legs Arthur McMurrough Kavanagh led a life full to the extent of disbelief. He became a proficient horseman, learned to fish and shoot, all by adapting his stumps, and was extremely well educated and travelled, having completed grand tours of Europe and Asia in his early 20s. He married in 1855, to his cousin Frances Mary Forde-Leathley, fathered 6 children, and was elected an MP to Westminster in 1886. He died in 1889.
