<B>1875 T$1 PR66 Cameo NGC.</B></I> Type One Reverse, with a berry near the fletchings. This reverse subtype is probably limited to the 300 proofs delivered in January 1875. The icy devices provide obvious contrast with the glassy fields. The strike is exacting except for slight merging of detail on the eagle's right (facing) claw. Brilliant and beautiful, although the NGC holder itself has a few faint hairlines that unfairly reflect upon the virtually pristine mirrored fields. Only 700 proofs (for both subtypes) were struck, and the associated business strike emission was the lowest of the 1873 to 1877 Philadelphia issues.
