1875-S<20C> MS66 PCGS. RPM # 1. The mintmark was first punched in tilted to the left and then punched in correctly, leaving the serifs of the original S still showing. The twenty cent piece is a well-known type coin to collectors and one that is needed for all 19th century type sets. It is seldom located in MS66 condition and, of course, is avidly sought after. This particular piece is noteworthy for its exceptional mint luster. The mint frost swirls around each side and is uninterrupted by any noticeable abrasions. Each side is mostly brilliant in the centers and surrounded by rings of sea-green and golden-brown color at the margins. Sharply struck overall with just the slightest softness at the top of the eagle's left (facing) wing.
