<B>1875-S<20C> MS65 NGC.</B></I> Breen-3875, Doubled "$" Mintmark; MPD-001, Blundered Date. Both dies are blundered. The top of a 5 is observed in the denticles below the 7 in the date. The mintmark is sharply recut, and exhibits two pairs of serifs. Multiple examples of this variety are included in the present sale. The top of the 5 buried in the denticles does not match the top of the 5 in the date, apparently from a different punch. This is a brilliant Gem with satiny silver luster and a few tiny spots of dark toning.
