<B>1875 5C MS65 NGC.</B></I> David Bowers (2006), writing about the 1875 nickel, indicates that: "Quality is elusive for this date" because of poor planchet preparation. The Gem offered here deviates from this profile. Its light gray surfaces yield soft luster and sharply impressed design features. A couple of light obverse flecks are noted for complete accuracy.
