<B>1875 $20 MS63 PCGS.</B></I> The double eagle of 1875 is the only common-date gold coin in a year that is legendary for its gold rarities, some of them proof-only issues. Business strikes of this date were produced to the extent of more than 295,000 pieces. The double eagle is readily available up to and including Mint State pieces. The present piece offers somewhat scuffy but appealing surfaces, with deep orange-gold coloration and considerable luster.
