1875 $20 MS63 PCGS. The 1875 double eagle, with a mintage of nearly 300,000 pieces, is not rare in grades VF to MS62. It becomes more difficult to locate at the MS63 level of preservation, however, where PCGS and NGC have certified fewer than 70 specimens; a mere seven coins finer have been seen.
This particular specimen displays a delicate blend of yellow-gold and orange-gold coloration that rests upon lustrous surfaces. Nice definition characterizes the design features, that exhibit good detail in the star centers, in most of Liberty's hair, and in the eagle's plumage. A few obverse contact marks and scuffs define the grade. Population: 45 in 63, 3 finer (11/06).

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
