<B>1874 G$1 MS66 PCGS.</B></I> The 1874, with a business strike mintage of 198,800 pieces, is one of the most common gold dollars. Several thousand coins have been graded by PCGS and NGC. MS65 pieces are hard to come by, and higher-grade examples are quite elusive. This Premium Gem displays satiny peach-gold luster with traces of mint-green. Generally well defined, except that nearly all of the letters in LIBERTY are missing, which is typical for this issue. A few minor luster grazes do not distract.
