<B>1874 5C MS65 PCGS.</B></I> Frosty nickel-gray surfaces accompany nearly full design elements on this beautiful example. Both sides have numerous die cracks like so many Shield nickels. The mint had little experience with the composition, which is harder than most other coin alloys. As a result, die cracks were the norm, not the exception.
