<B>1874 50C BG-944, R.5 MS65 </B></I> S<B> Prooflike NGC.</B></I> The Breen-Gillio reference (2003) credits Kenneth W. Lee, author of his own noted work on California fractional gold, with the discovery of this issue sometime between 1955 and 1970. This gleaming honey-gold Gem offers sharply reflective fields and pleasing detail, with only a touch of lessened reflectivity on the reverse opposite the portrait.
