<B>1874 50C Arrows MS64 NGC.</B></I> WB-102. The usually seen obverse with large arrows. The Randy Wiley and Bill Bugert <I>Complete Guide to Liberty Seated Half Dollars</B></I> reference alludes to "One tail die included in WB-102 (that) has interesting 'haywire' die scratches in the eagle's right wing." Close inspection of the current near-Gem specimen with a loupe detects several such die scratches in the eagle's left (right facing) wing, and fewer in the opposite wing. Whispers of reddish-tan patina gravitate to the borders, and a powerful strike sharply defines the design features. Well preserved, highly lustrous surfaces are devoid of any significant marks.
