<B>1874 $5 AU53 PCGS.</B></I> Relatively few 1874 half eagle survivors exist from the 3,488-piece mintage, and less than 130 examples in all grades have been seen by PCGS and NGC. The AU53 specimen presented here retains considerable luster on yellow-gold surfaces, and exhibits well defined motifs.
