<B>1874 25C Arrows PR65 Cameo NGC.</B></I> There appears to be some disagreement over the number of 1874 Arrows proof quarters struck. The 2007 <I>Guide Book</B></I> indicates that 700 were made, while Walter Breen (1988) and Larry Briggs (1991) say the number is 850 pieces. Whichever the case, approximately 360 coins have been certified by NGC and PCGS, and fewer that 50 examples have been given the Cameo designation. This exquisitely struck Gem Cameo displays a thin veneer of low intensity orange and lavender color. A few barely noticeable obverse handling marks are all that stand in the way of an even higher grade.
