<B>1874 1C MS66 Red PCGS.</B></I> The copper-tan surfaces of this well-defined and immensely appealing cent are essentially undisturbed. Only a few inoffensive specks appear on the obverse. The Mint's pattern of redeeming, melting, and recoining cents in the early 1870s reached its zenith in 1874, the same year Philadelphia began to return recently made bronze cents to circulation.
