<B>1874 1C MS65 Red NGC.</B></I> An uncommonly bold strike with splashes of mottled lilac patina in the centers that yield to brighter sunset-orange hues about the peripheries. The 1874 is the second most heavily produced Indian cent from the 1870s, but examples in this lofty condition are much scarcer than multiple appearances in this sale would indicate.
