In fact, in 1874, both Carson City and San Francisco produced more Trade dollars than all mints combined coined in the prior year. This piece is softly lustrous beneath deep, pleasing violet and reddish-orange patina. Well struck with small, scattered marks and a spot of charcoal toning above the F in FINE.
