1873-CC $1 --Fields Tooled, Cleaned--ANACS. XF40 Details. Darkly toned olive-brown. The obverse field has been skillfully smoothed on each side of the seated Liberty, although it takes patience, a strong light, and an experienced eye to detect the tell-tale swirls of carefully-moved metal. The 1873-CC is the rarest Carson City silver dollar. Much of the tiny mintage of 2,300 pieces was likely melted when the Trade dollar was abolished and Morgan dollar production began.

Coin Engraver: Christian Gobrecht

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
