<B>1873 3CS PR65 Cameo NGC.</B></I> The final-year, proof-only issue of the three cent silver type had a low mintage of only 600 pieces, easily the lowest of the series, making this an unquestioned key date. Most of the 600 coins have survived, but very few of them have received a Cameo grade designation from either of the major services. This example is sharply struck and untoned, with glassy fields, frosted devices, and distraction-free surfaces.
