<B>1873 2C Closed 3 PR64 Brown PCGS.</B></I> Well struck and nicely preserved, this near-Gem proof specimen has a rather dense layer of speckled patina over both sides, which lightens somewhat near the peripheries. There are no bothersome handling marks or hairlines to be found, and the design elements are crisply produced. A scarce, proof-only, final-year issue.
