<B>1873<$20> Open 3 MS62 NGC.</B></I> The striking details seem clear and crisp on all of the design elements, including the obverse and reverse denticles. Soft mint luster and pleasing, even coloration are attributes of this Mint State specimen. The 1873 Open 3 is the most common issue among Type II double eagles, but attractive examples with good eye appeal are a welcome addition to any sale.
