<B>1873 1C Doubled LIBERTY MS64 Brown PCGS.</B></I> FS-009, Snow-1. In addition to the letters in the word LIBERTY, doubling is evident on Liberty's eye, lips, and nose tip. Now nearly a half century after its discovery, this variety's legitimate rarity and dramatic doubling has made it one of the most sought-after Indian cent issues. Glossy brown surfaces are generally well struck and retain traces of faded sunset-orange color about the devices. A couple of unobtrusive marks in the field to the left of the shield on the reverse, and a few more on the lower right part of the shield, may help to identify the coin. This is a late die state of the variety with a die crack through the base of the date.
