<B>1873 1C Closed 3 PR65 Red PCGS.</B></I> This scarce and popular year is usually found with only moderately reflective fields at best. Sloppy die preparation is usually evident from the overpolishing on the upper feather in the headdress. However, many proofs are from even more advanced state of the dies and show the eye socket blended into the obverse field. That is not the case with this piece, and the fields are nicely mirrored on each side.
