<B>1872-S<$20> MS61 PCGS.</B></I> A bright and lustrous example of this conditionally rare Type Two issue. The 1872-S preceded the widespread saving of exported double eagles in foreign bank holdings. As a result, XF to AU pieces dominate the census. The present piece has an interesting strike-through near the left shield scroll, and a tiny rim ding is found at 11 o'clock on the reverse. Population: 16 in 61, 3 finer (9/06).
