Luminous orange, ruby-red, and electric-blue colors endow the obverse, while the reverse is patinated in dusky golden-gray and aquamarine tints. The strike is meticulous, even on the eagle's claws and Liberty's head, which are sometimes not fully impressed for proofs of the Seated design. A desirable proof type coin with such exemplary preservation. IN GOD WE is widely die doubled, seen on several proof issues of the Motto Seated dollar series. <BR> A mere 950 pieces were struck, some of which were reportedly melted after July 10, 1873. Most of the certified specimens are in the PR61 to PR64 grade levels. Fewer than 30 coins have been graded full Gems; just eight coins have received the Premium Gem designation, and a mere two pieces finer (2/06).
