<B>1872 S$1 PR65 PCGS.</B></I> Doubled Reverse Die. This lovely Gem proof has contrast deserving of a Cameo designation, with frosty devices and glowing, brilliantly mirrored fields. Both sides show a light orange-gold cast, and the strike is sharp throughout, despite the presence of a few light roller marks on Liberty's right thigh. As a bonus, this piece is struck from the Doubled Reverse die noted in the Bowers-Borckardt <I>Silver Dollar Encyclopedia,</B></I> with bold doubling on IN GOD WE TRUST especially prominent at IN GO and WE. Certified in a small first-generation PCGS holder.
