<B>1872-CC 25C --Whizzed--ANACS. AU50 Details.</B></I> The tiny radial lines in the surfaces are the telltale marks of whizzing, but this rare piece retains much appeal nonetheless. This important early Seated quarter issue was produced to the extent of only 22,850 business strikes. The diagonal die scratch in the lower portion of the shield is diagnostic for the single obverse used. Deep smoke-gray toning under a light reveals attractive aqua tints.
