<B>1872-CC $20 XF45 PCGS.</B></I> The 1872-CC is a reasonably scarce CC double eagle. It is also a reasonably well-produced issue, despite the overall low quality of 1872-CC half eagles and eagles. This example, even with 15 points of wear, shows a full strike that creates bold star centrils, and considerable detail remains in Liberty's hair. A bit of localized softness shows at the upper right (facing) shield border on the reverse. The abrasions seen, mostly under a loupe, are unworthy of singular mention.
