<B>1872-CC<$20> AU53 NGC.</B></I> The 1872-CC is a scarce and yet popular coin from the Carson City Mint. Most of the 26,900 pieces that were struck entered circulation and the survivors show extensive wear. Probably no more than 135-150 pieces exist today in Uncirculated, with the finest pieces at the MS61 level. This is a well struck example that has uniform, light golden color with considerable mint luster around the devices. At the AU53 level this piece just misses the lower end of the Condition Census.
