<B>1872-CC $20 AU50 NGC.</B></I> The 1872-CC twenty dollar is primarily available in Very Fine and Extremely Fine grades. Higher-grade coins are rare, however, as evidenced by NGC/PCGS census/population data. The two services have, to date, seen fewer than 10 Mint State pieces, all of which grade MS60 or MS61. Approximately 350 specimens have been reported in the various grades of AU, but as Jeff Garrett and Ron Guth indicate (2006): "The population data for About Uncirculated condition are greatly inflated by resubmissions." Peach-gold and apricot patination graces the AU50 specimen in this lot.
