<B>1872 3CS PR67 Cameo NGC.</B></I> The penultimate issue in the three cent silver series, the obverse die was corrected by hand (according to Breen) so the top of the D in UNITED is no longer "broken." This is an atypical Type Three proof. Often seen deeply toned, this piece shows completely brilliant surfaces on each side. The devices are nicely frosted and present a strong cameo contrast against the unfathomable depth of reflectivity seen in the fields. A showcase proof from this popular, odd-denomination series.
