<B>1872 2C PR66 Red and Brown PCGS.</B></I> The 1872 is generally not available as a business strike with only 65,000 pieces minted. There were 950 proofs produced, but few are extant today that can rival the color and overall eye appeal of this coin. The surfaces are generally bright mint red. The obverse is fully red, while the reverse shows just the slightest brown haziness. This is minor but apparently enough to call the coin Red and Brown. If this piece can be purchased at a level anywhere near a Red and Brown price it would be a steal.
