<B>1871 Wailuku Plantation 12 1/2 Cent Token VF30 NGC.</B></I> Medcalf 2TE-3. Incorrectly attributed as TE-2Aa on the NGC insert. The obverse of this token is shared with 2TE-2, but the reverse differs. 2TE-2 has a starfish with a small center, while 2TE-3 has a starfish with a broad center. Heritage has previously auctioned three examples of 2TE-2, but this is the first representative of the scarcer 2TE-3 we have offered at auction. Chocolate to mahogany brown with a soft strike in selected areas.
