<B>1871-S H10C MS65 PCGS.</B></I> Despite the mintage of 161,000 pieces, this issue is somewhat scarce in high grade, and it is quite elusive in MS65. PCGS has certified only four Gem coins, with two finer (4/07). This piece offers brilliant silver-white surfaces with no trace of toning. A small scrape on the obverse denticles from 9:30 to 11 appears to be a die ejection error, as made, and therefore does not affect the grade; more importantly, it does not significantly affect the abundant appeal.
