<B>1871 S$1 MS64 PCGS.</B></I> The 1 million-plus mintage renders the 1871 dollar relatively common today. While some were exported to China, it is likely that large numbers remained in Treasury vaults. In MS64, the grade of the piece in this lot, fewer than 70 pieces have been certified by PCGS and NGC, and less than 15 finer (2/07). Whispers of electric-blue, lavender, and golden-tan toning gravitate to the margins. Well struck with pleasing luster.
