<B>1871 G$1 MS65 PCGS.</B></I> Despite the low mintage under 4,000 pieces, coins from this issue can be located in Gem and finer grades, indicative of high survival rates. This enticing Gem piece shows contrasting orange-gold surfaces with a bit of smoky field haze in the right obverse field. There are essentially no mentionable abrasions, although typical strike softness appears on the central date digits and the O of DOLLAR.
