<B>1871-CC 50C AU58 PCGS.</B></I> The second half dollar delivery from the Carson City Mint, the 1871-CC is a respected rarity with an original mintage of nearly 154,000 pieces. Whereas most of this delivery saw heavy and, indeed, terminal circulation on the frontier, this near-Mint example displays only slight overall wear and excellent striking definition on virtually all design elements. Pale silver-gray color adorns both sides, and we note that a few scattered circulation impairments are visible, but only under careful inspection. An important lot; we anticipate that this specimen will elicit strong bids from Seated half dollar specialists.
