1871-CC $1 --Damaged, Cleaned--ANACS. Fine 15 Details. The 1871-CC has the lowest mintage of any Carson City silver or trade dollar. Just 1,376 pieces were struck. Unlike the 1870-CC, fewer were set aside, and the issue is desirable in any grade. The present piece has suspicious ice-blue and pearl-gray toning. It is slightly glossy, but no damage is readily apparent.
Ex: Coin Galleries, 4/91, lot 2316.
From The John Stimson, Sr. Collection, Part Two.

Coin Engraver: Christian Gobrecht

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
