<B>1871 3CS MS67 PCGS.</B></I> The tiny mintage of 3,400 business strikes faced heavy melting in 1873, and only a fraction survive today. This exemplary coin has modestly reflective surfaces beneath gold, rose, and aqua patina on the obverse and rich plum, olive, and blue-green toning on the reverse. Well-defined overall, though softness on the ribbon that binds the arrows confirms that this example is not a proof.
