<B>1871 $3 MS62 PCGS.</B></I> Despite the low mintage of 1,300 business strikes, many examples were saved by collectors of the day, and numerous high grade pieces exist. The surfaces of this delightful piece offer lovely peach-gold and apricot tones, along with a bold strike. A couple of stray abrasions on the Indian's cheek limit a finer grade, but this specimen should prove most satisfying to some fortunate bidder.
